Director General Quality Assurance

Shri N. Manoharan is currently serving as the Director General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. He leads one of the most critical defence organisations responsible for ensuring quality, reliability and performance of defence equipment supplied to the Armed Forces. Under his leadership, DGQA is strengthening domestic defence manufacturing through enhanced quality standards, process modernization and close collaboration with DPSUs, private industry and MSMEs. He is actively promoting indigenization efforts in line with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, while ensuring operational readiness and capability enhancement of defence systems. His strategic guidance continues to support self-reliance and defence innovation in the country.
